So,

this gorgeous eighteen year old from venezuela won miss universe. Making it venezuela's sixth and second cosecutive.

for a record, that's phenomenal.

But the background is retarded.

the stupid country is crazy!!!

I mean apart from being anti US and all (not that i think the US is the coolest place on the planet) those people are obsessed (read: *UCKING OBSESSED) with these beauty pageant things. Apparently, they think its the perfect path to fame and fortune.

The Miss Venezuela pageant telecast has 80% viewership and those people sell miss venezuela dolls.

They have academies which train you military style for posture, smile, dance and such other pageant-y things and ensure you win. Yes, they also offer plastic surgery.

I mean, i totally get the importance of external beauty and all but really- this must be one shallow country.

Like there, teenage girls think its normal to have breast implants so they can emulate these living barbie dolls.

Really,

considering the first world is already seeing the sexism in it, (and all of us coming from apes copy the first world anyway)something should be done about it.

or let's just stick to the venezuelan mantra-

"if you have beautiful women(even if the scalpel makes them so), show them to the world"
