For someone like me who grew up in Bombay, public transport was something that was just there. Never for a minute did i think about how awesome it was. Till i came to Bangalore.
Seriously, there is absolutely no convenient way to get around over here.
The roads are bad and you don;t have the option of taking the train.
The Metro is a Big Fat Lie the Municipal Corporation has been telling people because it's being constructed since about forever and it still seems like ALL of Bangalore is dug up.
The Rickshaw wallah's not only make sure you don't want to say thank you for the ride, they do everything they can to ruin your mood for the day AND burn a hole as big as they can in your pocket.
I used to always think that Bangalore restaurants were cheap. But then I realised that it was the dining experience was expensive. Just getting there costs you more than the meal.
Who said public transport was always meant to be for convenience?
