The Yellow Brick Road is Pink and Shiny :)

Abstractions about metaphysics are probably my favourite pastime :)
This one's about change.
Have you ever noticed how weird that concept is?
And how your affinity to it is pegged to your perception of life at any given time?
One second you're GLAD things have changed and another you hate every bit of the change.
So there is nothing called being comfortable in where and what you are.
Crap.
Optimism is therefore sought after.
Cynicism, on the other hand, is reality.
It's like high waist pants.
Everyone was relieved with the coming of the low waist pants. But then it got uncomfortable in there.
And before we knew it, they were back!
And its not even like it was more than half a century ago.
Weird.
I wonder what is familiar and everlasting then...
I think that's going to be Gold jewelery and Indian women.
But even brides have started picking kundan over gold now.
Confusion.
Indifference.
That's my favourite part about these abstractions.
They're totally irrelevant.
Because there's no point in reflecting about life. You should just restart and follow the yellow brick road... :)

'An Optimist laughs to forget and a Pessimist forgets to laugh.'
Just as your abstractions r irrelevant and random, this quote might also seem so, but it isnt.

Sometimes I wonder why my generation has such an avid interest in metaphysics??

Then I realise that it's easier to ponder these nebulous abstracts then face the shit real life has to offer.

Also, I really like your blog-posts. Just stumbled upon them by chance. :)

@ Bartimaeus
That is absolutely true.
But have you ever thought about how CONTEMPLATION is the source of every problem in life?
we should all just be blondes.
Being dumb is why they have more fun :)
@Shaleen
Calling it irrelevance is just me being an escapist.
:) But you're right. In a strange strange way.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing a few days back. Life is more fun when you lack the propensity to go all existential. Sigh!
